Fathersland

Fathersland, 2019

Fathersland is part of ongoing research on the importance of home. Particular interest is in role of the home and the significance of memory, objects and artefacts which identify us both to ourselves, and the wider world. Objects from my father’s workshop, including tools passed down over four generations were recorded whilst clearing my parents house of 50 years. My father passed away six months later and whilst these may be seen as memento mori, they also remain practical, useful and functional objects.
